Versus

Rich Hims Like the soundtrack to a grand SF/horror movie, Versus builds tension quickly before spreading it across an epic soundscape. I try to minimise the number of genres in my collection, so have filed this as 'ambient', but it's a much more engaging listening experience than some would infer from that label. Favorite track: Domina.

iptamenos3 A brilliant, intriguing album. Music in all its combinations and facets, a journey through sounds, notes and harmonies. The main theme of "Darkness" is epic, "Also sprach Zaratustra" 21st century. This track is thick and dark. And beautiful. Favorite track: Darkness.

diego estay Amazing cinematic athmospheres mixed with classical instruments as narrative elements give this album a full on voyage experience through sounds and imagery of an underground world that thrives through technology and intricate composition. A re interpretation of Classical music and Techno. Innovative yet familiar. beatyfull

about

Classic gems of Carl Craig's discography re-engineered in groundbreaking classical versions. Versus - the much awaited new long player from the Detroit techno producer.

Versus is a work in progress, a perfect encapsulation of InFiné's philosophy, which serves a double duty as a platform to foster hybridization between genres, and also as the label’s ten-year anniversary gift to itself. From an initial recording in 2010, the project evolved into a full studio album containing two original compositions by Francesco Tristano and symphonic versions of Craig classics, reworked in the studio by the man himself.
