Exploring post-punk, new wave and synth wave, Twin Color is in part inspired by pop radio music from Fernando Corona's youth in the Tijuana/San Diego area, the early MTV and MuchMusic era, and artists such as Depeche Mode, Thompson Twins, Ultravox, etc.
This new EP offers a futurist nostalgia voiced in part by Murcof's daughter Alina who paid regular visits to the studio during the production process, in the early pandemic.
A whole visual universe is being developed by Simon Geilfus using the graphics software Unreal Engine 5, described by Murcof "like a contemplative video game, a "playable" world where the player can explore and affect the music as they go along inside this virtual environment". It will be presented as both a personal stand-alone experience and a live show.

Absolute monster of a gem from the anonymous godfather of ambient music. I try to stay on top of musical releases but missed this one, but it found me at just the right time. Murcof deserves his chance on a large scale soundtrack for a big budget film. Hopefully the Universe hears my prayer for this.

Murcof is one of my favourite ambient artists for a long time now. He got me hooked to his music when I first heard 'Remembranza'. This album is a masterpiece and I can keep listening to it on loop.
